WalkOnAlerts ("we", "us", "our") operates the WalkOnAlerts mobile application. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Device information. When you open the app, we generate a random device identifier and authentication token. These are not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any personal account. We also store your device platform (iOS or Android).
Push notification token. If you enable notifications, your device's push token (provided by Apple or Google) is stored on our servers so we can send you ride alerts. This token is not personally identifiable.
Location data. When you grant location permission, the app reads your GPS coordinates to determine which theme park you are in and to calculate walking times to rides. Your coordinates are sent to our server with API requests but are not stored in our database. Location is used only in real time and discarded after the response is sent.
Notification preferences. Your alert settings (which notification tiers are enabled, minimum downtime threshold, and which parks you subscribe to) are stored on our servers and linked to your device identifier.
Purchase status. If you purchase a Day Pass, Trip Pass, or Annual Pass, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive your payment details. We do store your subscription type and expiration date, linked to your device identifier, so we can verify your access.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties. Period.
Our servers communicate with Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver your ride alerts, and with Apple App Store / Google Play Billing APIs to verify purchases. No other third-party services receive your data.
Your device registration and preferences are retained as long as you use the app. Notification delivery logs (which alerts were sent to your device) are retained for up to 90 days for debugging and deduplication purposes, then deleted.
If you delete the app, your push token becomes invalid and you will stop receiving notifications. You may request deletion of your device registration by contacting us at the email below.
All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Device authentication uses a randomly generated secret token that is stored securely on your device and never displayed or shared.
WalkOnAlerts does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to use.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
